Seaholm shadows Oak Park

by Emma Lietz

Seaholm’s Diversity Club is hosting an all-day field trip on Friday, March 6th to visit Oak Park High School.

“The purpose is to get out of the Birmingham bubble,” activity sponsor Scott Craig said. “A lot of students grew up in Birmingham, with a lot of people like themselves. They haven’t been exposed to people of other socioeconomic backgrounds.”

Students will meet and shadow Oak Park high school students for two classes, with the main focus of the trip being exposure to an educational and class environment outside of Seaholm. The cost is $10, and a permission slip must be signed by a parent.
