Sophomores and Juniors were in for a surprise during Monday’s class meetings held by administration.
It was revealed that parking passes would be given out according to attendance, then by a lottery system. Students with upwards of 92% attendance for the remainder of the year will have the opportunity to park next year in the student lot.
According to an email sent to parents by Dee Lancaster, “We believe that we are preparing our students for both college and the world of work and as we all know, attendance is important.”
Students who hope to have a parking spot must miss no more than 8 days or 40 hours until school is released for summer.
